Appleton, Wisconsin. In an old building where I had my first ‘Christmas roll’ before that business left the place. After a long time of being empty, a Korean barbecue took over. I’m not sure what the name of the previous restaurant was, but I recall them having sushi then too.

I went here on Valentine’s Day, 2026, with a date. We arrived around 3:30 PM, as we did not want to deal with a large crowd. This was a smart decision! When we left around 5, there were a ton of people waiting to be seated. Even with being so early, parking was a nuisance. We were lucky to get a spot close to the entrance.
The place’s atmosphere isn’t bad, but it could be better. When I entered, I did enjoy the bar, entrance, and waiting area. There are menus and special menus available while waiting, which helped us pick what we wanted when we were seated. It certainly helped for me to feel hungry!
The staff were very friendly. The woman manning the front desk explained Korean barbecue to me, though my date had already been (and was the one to suggest it). This place, specifically, works by having a menu online and ordering via that menu to get food to cook. Each table has a grill, and you’re given animal fat to grease the grill. Then, when you get your uncooked food, you put it on the grill until it’s at a good point.

I had a ton of food, and all of it was really good! Pork loins, brisket, thin slices of beef. Croffle (a croissant-waffle dessert), and a variety of other things that were really good. I’m posting most photos of the food, but paid newsletter members get a few extra!

592 Korean Barbecue was an incredible experience, with good food, good staff, and decent atmosphere. There are a ton of nice choices when it comes to both food and drink. I recommend their pork dishes, as well as the sake flight they have. And every dessert you can grab!
I don’t typically have a rating, but I’d give it something like seven or eight out of ten. This is using five as an “average”. Definitely try it out!
